What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest Muscles While On Depakote?
My son-in-law is on Depakote and has occasional severe pain and tightening of the muscles in his chest. He can not move out of a constricted upper body posture for a minute or so. He says it is very painful and feels like he is having a heart attack. Could this possibly a side effect from the medication? Thank you.

Please once consult physician n get her Blood pressure,ECG,blood tests..for cholesterol levels..if neded 2D echo..color dopplar.
*Ask him to be stress free
*Have more liquids..
*Have low salt in diet.Avoid chutneys.. sausages. .pickles
*Have enough rest n sleep.
*half an hour brisk walk morning and evening.
