What Causes Severe Pain In The Breast After A Fall?
I missed a curb and fell on concrete a week ago. I pain is mostly in my right breast it s red in places but not bruised. The pain is worst with raising from sitting or laying position. Turning in the bed is very painful. Touching the breast and even my chest bone is very tender. I can t wear my regular bra. I thought it would be better after a week. I used ice packs for days now heating pad. I soak in the tub also. Take Advil every four hours which helps a little.
You can continue the heat therapy and the use of painkillers. Ice therapy is often used mainly in the initial stages of injury. The heat pad can be applied 2 to 3 times a day for 15 to 20 minutes.
Consider changing the painkiller to Naproxen or Cataflam since you only experience mild pain relief with the Advil.
Rest and protection of the area from further injury are important, this means avoiding any activities that would aggravate the pain, for now. The pain should improve within another to 7 to 10 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
