What Causes Severe Pain In The Back While Sitting Or Standing?
I have been experiencing lower back pain when I stand or sit for a long time and if I lift something and twist the wrong way. I have been working at a desk for 31 years; I have a habit of going to sleep on my couch sitting up. If I put my hand on my lower back with pressure the pain is eased.

Because of the poor posture such pain is very common and this is happening due to the undue compression over certain tender points of body or major compression of bony structure, with the maintaining good posture this would come around, hope this helps.
