Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In Left Thigh, Calf And Foot Post Vascular Surgery?
For a month I have had attacking pain on the side of my left thigh, calf, behind calf, and top of the foot. It also feels like a bunch (baker s cyst?) behind my knee. I have had vascular surgery there previously for veracose veins. It hurts more when I sit and sleep. If I do too much I have to elevate and ice my leg. Could this be DVT or truamatized muscle pain?
As you explain the situation no I don't think this might be dvt. However fo safety and to be sure you can do an ultrasound of that area. Or a MRI examination is also very helpful in this condition but please discuss with your doctor for the above.
Regards
Dr.Jolanda
