What Causes Severe Pain In Knee And Shoulders While Taking Prolia Shot?

I have been getting prolia injections for a couple years now and have severe hip knee and should pain. My arms and legs hurt at night and are tender to the touch. I also have a couple lumps under my arm pits but Dr. Said it is only fatty deposits, I don,t know. And I have extreme insomnia, and when I do get to sleep I wake up because of shoulder and hip pain. Could all this be from the prolia shot?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

A severe knee pain with swelling of the leg can be due to arthritis, bursitis or DVT. Proper diagnosis needs a direct examination and few investigations like X-ray and color Doppler of the leg. Till then mild pain killers, rest hot compress, application of local analgesic gel and a knee brace can help.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
