What Causes Severe Pain In Hands While On Levaquin?

Hi I had a tummy tuck ion June 10th and I developed a b strep bacteria they put me on leviquin a generic form I was on it for 4 days and my hands hurt like they were bruised and swollen, I had sores in the corners of my mouth so they took me off the pills. How can I tell if the b strep gets in by blood stream its such a worry

Hello,

You should keep your treating doctor informed of all your past illness, allergy & medications you have been taking.

Levaquin has no such indication but if you have any peripheral artery disease you should not take Levofloxacin because the medication affects the CNS & may cause serious side effects.

You are suggested to visit a Neurologist & get Nerve conduction tests done so that the treatment can be started at the earliest in case of positive reports.
