What Causes Severe Pain In Groin Area?

I am having a severe pain in my groin when I am walking and the pain could sometimes be on the front of my thigh and knee (left leg). It won't be everyday. It comes and goes but today it is really painful and it can have me bent over and I feel my leg buckling.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in groin area . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like avascular necrosis , bursitis , epididymitis , hydrocele , inguinal hernia
, muscle strain , pinched nerve or sciatica . I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically or order ultrasound or x-ray to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to orthopedic surgeon if the problem is related to muscle strain . Doctor may prescribe analgesic , anti inflammatory or antibiotics . For now apply warm compresses on groin area , take proper rest and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
