What Causes Severe Pain In Flank And Abdomen After Removal Of Kidney Stones?

In 2007 I had a 4CM stone that was removed through percutaneous nephrostomy tube.On Monday 5/4 I just had a lithotripsy on left kidney for 2 stones that were 1 cm each. I am having a lot of pain on my flank area and pressure on my abdomen. Dr. prescribed pain meds but I don t like taking those kind of meds. I m also on antibiotic to prevent UTI. Do you think it is just the after effects of the procedure or perhaps something else is wrong? I m icing as well to see if that helps.

HI
Well come to HCM
It is good if you can bare the pain but underlying cause of pain need to be found out and this can not be taken as granted, and better to see the surgeon to rule out this, hope this information helps, take care (Post surgical pain or post procedure pain is common but this may not be long last)
I find this answer helpful
