Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
You are having blunt chest trauma.
And following are the complications of it that can cause pain on breathing and coughing.
1. Rib and sternum fracture.
2. Pulmonary contusions
3. Pneumothorax
4. Musculoskeletal injury.
So better to get done chest x ray first.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for major complications.
You are mostly having musculoskeletal injury. So avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Avoid movements causing pain and bad postures in sleep. Apply warm water pad on affected site. Start painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright in 1-2 weeks.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
