What Causes Severe Pain And Restricted Movement In The Hip?
Yesterday I got up from a late morning nap (it was Saturday) and my left hip hurt. Sometimes this happens when I ve been sitting in one position for a while. This time, however, I couldn t walk it out. Ibuprofen (600 mg) did nothing. Two hours later I took Tylenol (400 mg). Later in the evening a friend came over and we shared a bottle of wine. Slight relief. I could bare sleep for the pain. The only position that worked was laying on my back with my knees up leaning against each other. This morning when I awoke it was hard to get out of bed given the pain. I found and old Rx of Oxycodon from surgery four years ago. I took one. It made the pain tolerable but it also made me drowsy (I had a lot of student projects to grade). I took one more Oxycodone four hours later and I just took another about 5 p.m. I have one more left which I will take at bedtime. Not knowing how I ll feel in the morning, I may make an appointment to see our family doctor after school.
