What Causes Severe Pain Above Intergluteal Cleft?

Even though I am a healthy weight: 110 pds/5 4, I have been in extreme pain in the triangular area above my buttcrack. It has hurt since I was 15...im now 45. This is show stopping pain. I describe it as my legs just will not swing . It lasts a day or two until the next episode. It is assured to happen if on uneven ground, if sweeping, racking, walking on concrete. It s not a typical back pain

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to Coccydynia. This can occur due to inflammation of Coccyx bone (end of vertebrae). Hot fomentation and NSAID gel like Dicofenac or Ketoprofen application locally will be helpful. Use a pillow while sitting. You can use a doughnut pillow for this which will help to relieve stress on that area while sitting. If this is not helping then local injection of corticosteroids or anaesthetic will be helpful. A consultation with orthopaedician and X ray examination is well appreciated.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
