What Causes Severe Nausea And Vomiting During 16 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I am 14 weeks 6 days pregnant and ran out of nausea medincine for yesterday. Yesterday I was throwing up from 6am to 12am. Couldn t keep any foods down not even water. Took nausea medicine last night but yet today I am throwing up again. Instead of the usual yellow tummy yucky that I ve been throwing up it was accompanied by dark green as well. Is this a huge issue? I ve been trying to at least drink water all day

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
What you are going through is called hyperemesis gravidarum.
It is commonly seen in pregnant females.
The colour change from yellow to dark green might be because of increased bile in the vomitus.
Both yellow colour and green colour is due to bile in the vomit which is normally secreted in gastrointestinal tract.
So just take some antiemetic meds which might help you relieve the vomitting like emset or domperidone.
Don't worry about the green coloured vomit.
If it persists for long time then consult a doctor for the same.
