Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
2 months ago I had terrible pain like spasms, mucle tightening and pretty extensive pain went to er and didn t find anything have the exact same thing again about drops me to my knees when I move wrong, wondering if could be a pinched nerve in neck or shoulder blade
I understand your frustration, but we need more information on where the pain was. Was it at the neck itself, or did it run down the arm? Was it on anywhere else in the body? The location of the spasms and what kind of movement makes it better or worse will enable us to narrow down the problem a lot more. Muscle problems tend to be fixed to the area involved, but pinched nerves tend to cause sharp pains that run way out the are involved.
It is also useful for us to know what they checked when you went to the emergency room, and what the results were. Other possibilities, if you have spasms over a large area, are electrolyte, or salt imbalances in the blood, or even spasms that are triggered by some medication.
Get back to us with the details, and we can then help you better.
Regards, Dr. Teh
