What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain While On Treatment For UTI?
Hi am on a 4th day of 5 days of macrobid for UTI and I am experiencing a lot of lower back pain.The doctor medicated me based on the urine test done in their clinic she also sent some std test to lab and urine as well. I had UTI at least once a year for the past 6 years and the symptoms go away fast after starting antibiotics but this time i am experiencing a horrible lower back pain while all other symptoms are gone.Should I look for emergency could it be a wrong diagnosis ?

I guess your backache is related to the UTI that you have got.
As the nerve supply of parts of urinary system and lower back has some commonalities between themselves, so a UTI might cause a backache.
