What Causes Severe Lower Abdominal Cramps Before Menstruation?
I am Sangeetha. I had MC around 12 weeks on April 2016. I had normal periods after mc with cycle 28 and 31 days. After mc before my period starts i had severe lower abdominal cramping which lasts for less than an hour. This happens prior one day or few hours before my period. Sometimes I had a slight pinching pain near my belly button even after mc which I felt during my first conception. Is this normal?

Hi,
It’s called premenstrual syndrome and can be heavier in some but still you should get a hormone panel. Get an ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out pathology. Medicines usually help with PMS.
