What Causes Severe Leg Pain While On Aleve?

Hi - My mother is having terrible pain in her left leg (thigh running down her leg to the knee and around to her rear end) She took some Aleve. She cannot put any weight on her leg... it is really hurting her and it just came on today. It has gotten progressively worse. She was working in our restaurant today walking around and picking up plates... nothing too strenuous... Normal activities for her. Anyway, wondering if I need to take her to an emergency room?

Hi,

It may not be the condition that you have to take her to ER, but it can be sciatica pain, first of all it need to be ruled out and for that MRI is must with neurophysician's pinion, till then bed rest and analgesic can be tried but it may not be emergency unless it is the severe condition and not the sciatica.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
