What Causes Severe Leg Cramps At Night Post Parathyroid Surgery?

I have had parathyroid surgery in 2015. All numbers are ok I still have night leg cramps most nights - keeps me awake and not able to get back to sleep.... I exercise daily swim just about daily... Any suggestions ( oh yes I ve tried quinine tonic water...no help
