What Causes Severe Laryngitis?

Hi, I keep getting this sore throat with a lot of sinus. So far in 1 month this is the third time with 4 days off in between. Now both my grandchildren got it. Grandson and grand daughter went to school today. He had a severe case of laryngitis yesterday and I have it today for the first time. Could it be the liquid chicken crap that they put on the fields 4 weeks ago? I also came down with a case of diarrhea after lunch.
