What Causes Severe Itching On The Skin After A Foot Surgery?
Hi there, for the second time in five months, I have had foot surgery. After surgery (2 to 6 weeks) i have had severe itching on my skin and pustules that eventually break open. Also, on the bottom of my feet extreme itching and tons of skin coming off. I know it is a reaction to the freezing used in the surgery and it is my bodies way of ridding it. This body does not see alot of medication. Is there any way to expedite the process. I have been releasing this way for the last two weeks ... it is better but I would like to have it finished.

Most probably it will be due to allergic dermatitis.
As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid ointment like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
