I have had this dry cough for almost a year. Its a bad itch behind my throat. I had taken all the sore throat lollies, gargle salt water, insert vicks up my nose, inhaled vicks, steamed with vicks, taken benadryl. I exhausted all the low level medication. This itch makes me cough for up to 3 to 4 hours a day, it can start at 2 or 3am for 4 hours straight or sometimes after 6.30pm til 10pm. Whe the itch is severe, I end up vomitting. My right lungs hurt, I can seem to breath in properly, lying down hurts my lungs, and even doing house working or driving, my lungs hurt. I had pneumonia for the whole month of Jan 2015. And it seems to vcome back again. It starts off with the bad itch beding my throat, then my lungs start hurting. Frustrated and stressed out. I want to fix this itch behind my throat, but dont know whether to go to the hospital, see a specialist or continue seeing my gp. Need help
