What Causes Severe Headache With Low Appetite?

i have been having frequent headaches for a few weeks. the past week or so i have had no appetite. i also have been having diarrhea for at least 5 days every time i go to the bathroom. my stomach often hurts when i lay on it for more than a few minutes. tonight i started having abdominal pain right under my ribs, but it moved the the left side of my belly button. occasionally the right side of my abdomen will hurt, but its mostly a sharp pain on the left side around my belly button. i have been gassy most of the evening, but passing gas will make the pain decrease for a second and then it comes right back. its currently 12 am so my only option to see a doctor right away is to go to the hospital and i d rather not do that if its not necessary. is it important that i see a doctor soon or can it wait until tomorrow?

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I read your question and understand your concern.

Your symptoms may be related to different disorders.

The headache seems to be a tension type headache, caused by psychological and physical stress. So it doesn't seem anything to worry about.

Regarding the abdominal complains, I would recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination, a routine blood test, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes, a chest x ray and an abdominal ultrasound to find out the possible cause. Further tests may be needed to establish the diagnosis.

It may be just a dyspeptic disorder or gall bladder stones.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
