What Causes Severe Headache Along With Slurred Speech?

A 54-yr old male business executive had been experiencing “migrainelike” headaches. One afternoon he also experienced light-headedness, slurred speech and mildly impaired motor function on his right side. One of his colleagues rushed him to the ER. His BP was 195/100 mmHg, which he said was a typical BP for him during the past two years. The gentleman was admitted to the hospital and a cerebral angiogram was performed which showed left cerebral hemorrhaging

Hello,

Intracerebral bleeding may lead to a headache. It may also lead to weakness and slurring of speech.

So treatment depends upon the size of hemorrhage. Use antihypertensive drugs and anti-edema measures.

If symptoms not improved need to remove clot through a craniotomy.

Please consult your neurosurgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
