Hello,

As you have been donating blood plasma twice weekly for 6 months now, you might be suffering from anemia. Anemia is an important cause of hair loss. The following are few causes of hair loss:
1) Iron deficiency anemia
2) Hypothyroidism
3) Family history
4) Hormonal changes
5) At the time of recovery from typhoid and malaria and chicken pox
6) Stress
7) Radiation therapy as in cancer
8) Lack of sleep
9) Deficiencies of vitamins and minerals

You also have hypothyroidism that might contribute to hair fall. The following are few treatment options. Eat very healthy and protein rich diet, plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water daily. Sleep adequately. Try to be stress free. Take Tab. Dexorange daily once after food for at least 4 months for replenishing the iron lost. Take tab. Trichoton daily once for at least 4 months would help you grow new hair. If your problem persists, even after above mentioned treatment, you may need to contact a dermatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
