I can t seem to stay awake at night. No matter how hard I try. I usually get about 8 hours but I m still always exhausted throughout the day. I wake up usually once every hour or so throughout the night. That being said, I fall back asleep almost immediately but I never fail to wake up every hour. Why is this happening?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Severe fatigue in women is caused due to 'iron deficiency anaemia'. It is the most common cause for fatigue and weakness. The next common cause is 'diabetes mellitus'. Kindly get your hemoglobin levels checked. If it is less than 12 g%, you need to take iron supplement capsules and consume iron rich foods. It takes about a month or two to restore your iron levels to normal. For diabetes mellitus, kindly get your fasting glucose, post prandial glucose and Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels checked. If it indicates impaired glucose tolerance, you need to get treated accordingly by medications along with diet and exercise. Kindly consult Physician for evaluation and management. Wish you all the best.
