What Causes Severe Earache After A Head Injury?

Last Wednesday am, I fainted and hit the back of my head, rebounded and hit the side of my head. I have had an mandible xray, and had my ears checked, the GP said everything was ok, and nothing is wrong with the ear. But the pain in my TMJ is at a 10, and Ear pain is at a 10+++. Off an on I get this dripping feeling in my inner ear, like a fat drop of water going down. After the sensation goes away, there is a fullness in my eardrum. I have hearing loss previous to this impact injury, so I cannot use hearing loss as a symptom. Should I go get a 2nd opinion, get further tests done? The pain is excrutiating!!!

Hi,

I personally understand you should have another opinion pain is common after trauma and falls but this much severe pain always need attention to rule out any serious injury like a small fracture. So it's important to seek medical advice to check everything is normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
