My daughter has been sick for 3 weeks. Last Saturday, March 25, she went to an urgentcare and saw a PA. She was diagnosed with bronchitis, but didn t tell him she has IBS with darrhea. He prescribed Zithromax . She finished the 5 days of AB today, but has had terrible diarrhea, nausea, and a bad taste in her mouth. She has no other problems except endometriosis, for which she has been on birth control meds for almost 20 years with no flare ups after the surgery in 2001. She is 40 yrs old. I got her Activia yogurt which she has been taking the last 4 days. She feels awful and I am very worried. I didn t realize the AB was so harsh, and had expected Levaquin would have been ordered. Will the yogurt hinder her recovery? Should I have insisted oin a different AB?
