What Causes Severe Cough And Thick Sputum?
I have had for the last 3 months a cough and a thick mucus from the back of my throat. I have seen my family doctor. He believes it is my sinus problem. The coughing occurs more at night. I might have some allergies. But doesn t run in the family. Also I have tried Ventolin and absolute. Some relief. I think there is more going here? I have had chest x-ray and ct scan. No issues? What may be more causes?

As per your history, it may be due to respiratory tract infection.
For that you can may require complete hemogram, chest X Ray, urine analysis after detailed medical examination and physician's opinion.
You may require broad spectrum antibiotics after consultation.
Continue steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day.
Keep your self hydrated. Take balanced diet.
