HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that she may have bronchitis. This causes a wet persistent cough.

It is very good that you are using her reliever inhaler, this would help to open any airways that have closed due to infection but she may need additional medication.

A mucolytic to help break up the mucus may be needed along with a short course of steroids.
Eg of mucolytics are bisolvan , guaifenesin, mucomyst. One of these can be used, they are over the counter medication.

Your doctor would need to see her for the steroid prescription.

I hope this helps
