What Causes Severe Chest Pain, Nausea And Belching In Stomach?

A week or so ago I had a horrible pain in the center of my chest that lasted for about 15 minutes then immediately after the pain released, I felt naucious. During the 15 minutes or so of pain, it was so bad that I couldn't sit, stand or lie down. I thought maybe it had been a heart attack but after visiting my Cardiologist and had a nuclear stress test - they said my heart was fine. Since the attack, I have experienced a lot of belching. If it wasn't my heart - what could this have been?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe chest pain, nausea and belching in stomach which seems to be either infection or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. It seems to be due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. I would suggest you to proton pump inhibitors and antacids such as Pantprazole along with domperidone. Avoid intake of large foods and try to prefer small and frequent meals. You should take oral rehydration solution for maintaining the hydration and electrolyte balance of the body. You should consult gastroenterologist once and get complete blood investigations done. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take plain and soft food and avoid hot, sharp and spicy food substances.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
