What Causes Severe Chest Pain In A Diabetic Patient After Quadruple CABG?

My friend had a quad CABG a year come Oct. She has just found a 70% and a 50% blockage and in which case they put two stints in the 70% one. She has diabetes and she has been experiencing alot of chest pain all along. She was a smoker and overweight. Can you please tell us what steps to take to turn this all around. Also she is only 53 yrs old. Sincerely,

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, ask her to stop smoking. She is having Diabetes must under control. Try to reduce weight by moderate walking daily. Avoid spicy food, some time gastritis may cause chest pain. I hope she is on Asprin and Clopitab and Atorvastatin. Continue regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
