What Causes Severe Chest Congestion And Cough?
I have a deep chest cough with clear phlegm. My Dr. said since clear no antibiotic needed. Said take Claritin. Also I feel great and want to do things but when I stand up my arms are so heavy as well as my legs. Hard to walk 10 feet. Light headed at first too. They just did an EKG and everyth ing was normal. I am 62 yr old female. Smoke only 3 cigs a day

It is due to infection from bacteria.
You need to take antibiotics for few days like Levofloxacine.You also need decongestant Bromohexine syrup.
There is nothing to worry.
Take these medications for one week you will relieve.
