What Causes Severe Breathlessness Despite Taking Duolin And Montek For COPD?
Dear Dr.,Warm Greetings! I am 64/male and been active sportsman for last 55 years. Smoker for 40 years was diagnosed with Asthma/COPD 5 years back. Despite trying hard i was unable to quit smoking though reduced number cigs/day.Presently i am on Duolin inhaler (single puff 5-6 times/day) Serolfo 250 inhaler (single puffs 2 times/day) Montek LC (1 tab/day).I still play tennis everyday but feel breathlessness very quickly and start panting within few minutes of play.Question 1. Sometimes i feel suffocated for an hour after inhaling Seroflo 250. Kindly suggest,Question 2. Is there any dosage/medicine which can help me while playing tennis. Kindly suggest,Thanls n Regards

Hi. Warm greetings to you too :). Seroflow inhaler itself is not going to cause breathlessness or suffocation. It might only be psychological. Give it some time it'll subside. At 64 you are not goin to have the stamina you had when you were 18 :). Also having COPD and being smoker is not helping your cause. I would suggest you to be patient and take it slowly. Being active is very good thing it will definitely increase lung capacity but be realistic while setting goals. I hope this was helpful. I wish you good health and many many games of tennis. :)
