What Causes Severe Breakouts While Suffering From Genital Herpes?

I have been diagnosed with genital herpes I am on valtrac every day always and still have breakouts the doctor told me that it is highly unusual for some one to break out that much that I needed to see a infectious disease specialist the only problem is it takes so long to get an appointment !! Can you tell me why I am have so many break outs

genital herpes is usually a sexually transmitted disease, in case of severe breakouts need to suspect other superimposed infections or secondary bacterial infections
