What Causes Severe Body Pain And Chills While Having Diarrhea?

I became very achie all over about 9:30 last nite after eating out with friends. Then I got shaking chills even though the house was 75. Diarea started about 1:00 a.m. And has not quit. I ve taken 4 doses of generic pepto this a.m. I ve eaten bits of Apple, crackers, toast, chicken broth with white rice. I ve been sipping gator aid2, apple juice, water. I still ache all over n diarea is still like I had been prepped for a colonoscopy!! Thank God for Desatin!It took a long time to type this.

The symptoms you describe could be caused by food poisoning or a viral, bacterial or parasitic digestive infection.I will suggest you try the following:
-Take a pain/anti-spasmodic drug like spamo apotel
-Take oral rehydration salt to replenish ions lost
-Zinc tablets to facilitate intestinal lining repair
-Take an anti-diarrheal like imodium
-Take fruits that constipate like bananas
If the symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for a stool exam/culture as a course of antibiotics may be needed.
