My husband, age 66, is in good health. During the past week he has been experiencing the following symptoms: excessive belching, fatigue, generalized weakness, discomfort in abdomen, frequent urge to have bowel movement, pressure/fullness in abdomen, upset stomach and decreased appetite.

Hi,

I understand your concern.

The symptoms your husband is having are suggesting stomach bug.
To ease these symptoms, he should:
- have frequent, and small portions meals
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- take simethicone to reduce bloating
- take antacids to stabilize stomach

If still no improvement, should see his physician and run further diagnostic tests like:
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy
- stool examination and culture

Wish fast recovery.
