Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Back Pain When Diagnosed With Osteoarthritis?
I am a 66 year old female and retired. I have lower to upper back pain whenever I do anything standing up, especially sweeping and mopping or similar activities. When I sit for a few minutes the pain goes away. It is irritating mentally because it takes longer to do the things I used to do. I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and take meds for it. Your thoughts on this.
As per your age and osteoporosis related history I would suggest you to get evaluated fogr any spine related pathology or any sacroiliac related problems, meanwhile you can try gentle back stretching exercises hot water fomenting and massages for temporary relief
