General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, anxiety can present as chest pain, palpitation, tremors or hyperventilation. Anxiety and panic attacks can resemble chest pain. But it is essential to rule out chest pain due to cardiac conditions by taking an ECG. Smoking can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and hence should be avoided.

Treatments are available for panic attacks. Drugs like benzodiazepines and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be useful to reduce your symptoms. Kindly consult your psychologist who can guide you through the solutions to reduce your panic attacks.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
