Hello. I was diagnosed with bi-polar approx. 7 years ago and have been taking medications since then. I have been reading about bipolar and am questioning the mania portion. I have suffered from very bad depression many times in my life. I just turned 50 years old. However, the only mania that I can think of is extreme anxiety, even causing me to be almost paralysed with fear. Fear of what, I am unsure, but fear no the less. I do not experience on any regular basis a over confidence or have grand ideas such as my reading has indicated. I am now questioning my original diagno0sis. Will you share your thoughts please.
