What Causes Severe Anal Pain While Having Hemorrhoid?

hello, I think I have a hemorrhoid and have used prep h to treat it. I have noticed pain when I sit down. I came home today and inspected the area. I don t see anything but do notice there is a hard gland like near my buttocks but only on the left side. I m not sure if this will go away with prep h or if I need to go in to be seen. I appreciate your help and look forward to receiving an answer. Thank you

Hello dear. Welcome to this service. So hemorrhoid causes pain because of blood engorgement in it with causes pressure and compression of nerves. You should take sitz bath(put some warm water in a tub and sit in it). That will help you in lowering down the pain. Of course, visit your doctor for some local lubricant creams which will help it heal faster. Drink plenty of fluids.
Thanks and regards
