What Causes Severe Acid Reflux Along With Vomiting Up Of Blood?

Hi I had this lump feeling in my throat about 3 months ago and it went away. Now it is back. I get alot of acid reflux lately. Tonight I vomited a little and there was blood in the vomit. Do not know if my esophagus is just irritated from the acid reflux lately or what.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe acid reflux along with vomiting up of blood which is something you should be concerned about. You have to change life style of person along with medicine for proper treatment. You should avoid heavy and spicy meal specially at night , Eat at least one hour before going to bed , take a light walk after every meal , eat small and frequent meals and take antacid like gelusil for acidity. You should take tablet Pantoprazole with Domperidone combination on empty stomach. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order endoscopy of esophagus and X-ray of upper digestive system to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe H2 blocker , proton pump inhibitor.
