Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. Your headache could be due to

: eye muscle spasm due to prolonged use of monitor - It is very common to have headache after prolonged exposure to bright light. This headache is dull aching, increases during work hour/stress/bright light, feels like heaviness in head, relief after eye closure.

If your symptoms resemble above features, you should follow few tips
; Close your eyes for 5 minutes after every hour while working on monitor
; Take some break from work
; Avoid watching TV for prolonged hours
; Maintain 8 hours sleep routine
; You can take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
; Still no relief, you should consult doctor. He might examine your eyes to rule out increase in number of glasses.

: chronic fatigue and stress leading to tension headache - It is a very common type of headache. Features are similar to above with few other features like band like sensation around forehead, occurs for hours, less response to painkillers.

If you are having tension headache, you can follow few tips

; Follow above tips
; Avoid mental stress
; You should discuss your problems with your close friends or family. It will help you relieve your tension
; Head and neck massage
; If still no relief, you should consult doctor.

Hope it will help you. Thanks.

Take care.
