Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello! My grandson is 12 years old and has severe abdominal pain. He has a good appetite and regular bowel movements. He has been to our local Children s Hospital twice over the past week. They have done tests and blood work and have found nothing. His pain level is consistently a 6 or 7. He plays select baseball and he was fine on the field until he swung a bat. At that time he hunched over in severe pain. We are extremely frustrated that nobody can help us. Any suggestions?
noted history of abdominal pain after his sports activity. it may be a muscular tear/strain with accompanying inflammatory reaction. analgesics and lukewarm compress over the area may temporarily relief his pain. the inflammation and pain should subside in a few days time. if the pain persists, it is best if you bring your grandson to a doctor for physical examination and clinical evaluation. diagnostics and management will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
