What Causes Severe Abdominal Cramps?

I ve been having stomach cramping for the last 2 weeks. It is intermittent. For the last day, I ve been drinking a probiotic smoothie, which seems to bring on diarrhea. I have no other symptoms and I initially thought that perhaps it was caused by unhealthy holiday eating. Any thoughts? I am a 47 year old female and in general good health, although I don t exercise regularly except for walking.

In my opinion, you should have yogurt in your daily diet for a while, avoid spicy, oil containing foods for sometime,,, until your cramps reduce. Drink lots of water. To give you more help, I need you to tell me how are your stools, colour, is there mucus or blood? Etc... So for now do the above and if possible see a doctor, to provide you with appropriate diagnosis and Treatment.
