What Causes Sensitivity And Pulsating Sensation In Bladder?
Hi, I am trying to figure out if I have a UTI, kidney or bladder infection of some kind. I do not have any real burning when I urinate but it does not feel right or normal for me. I feel like I have to go all the time even when I really do not. I also seem to have a heightened sensitivity in this area almost a pulsing or pounding. A few days ago I really did not feel well, like I might be getting sick or fighting an infection but now I feel fine other than the symptoms I have described.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Increased frequency of urination is one of the symptoms of urinary tract infection (UTI). I suggest you to get routine urine examination to detect infection in the urine. In case there is any evidence of infection in urine, a urine culture and drug sensitivity is suggested. Drug culture and drug sensitivity are done to detect the causative infectious agent and most appropriate antibiotic effective against the infectious agent. Other symptoms mentioned by you may be associated with UTI. In the meanwhile, you can improve the condition by drinking plenty of water since it helps in urinary tract infection.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
