What Causes Self-talk And Unusual Behaviour While Having Chronic Depression?

My mother was brilliant person she make us in Wonderland person today but now she has become a person who could not even do single work normally. She has some weird problem she keeps babbling things and has unknown fear of something bad will happen. She scared of our relative and even sometimes she get to much depressed and even we try to get her off of that topic she pretend to be normal but inside she isn t OK. She is on meds but it s been 4 years. I am 21 I am literally taking care of her I haven t been out of the house. I can t leave her alone what should I do.. Even doctors keep repeating her meds. she gets normal but she gets in weird mode once around a month for couple of days.
