What Causes Scratchy Pulsating Noise In Ear When Lying Down?

When I sleep I wake up to a scratchy pulsating noise in my ears and I got to stay up for a few minutes for it to quit. It dont do it if I keep my head elavated and has been going on for 6-8 months now. What might it be? I dont have high blood pressure.

Noise in ear while lying down only can be because of cervical spondylitic changes.
I would suggest you to consult with ent specialist and get audiometry test done to evaluate other ent cause for tinnitus. .Empirically you can take tablet containing betahistine and ginkobiloba extract. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
