Hi, I am a 58 year old female. I have very thin hair on top of my head. In the past couple of months I noticed a scab type thing on the very top of my scalp. sometimes I accidently comb over it and it pulls it off like a scab, but in the past 2 weeks I haven t bothered with it and its just not going away at all. it dosent hurt, but it looks like a scab and I just wondered if I needed to go see a doctor about it. thanks
Hi. If there is adherent scab like thing, you need a dermatological consultation. It could be psoriasis or discoid lupus erythematosus. There are few more possibilities too. If you could upload a photograph, i can have a look of lesions. Thanks
