What Causes Runny Nose, Sore Throat And Cough Followed By Blotchy Skin?

My daughter ( 12 yrs) has been sick on and off for 3 weeks . Runny nose, cough sore throat . Right now is full force , making her really tired and occasionally headachey . She is fair complexioned and right now has blotchiness that looks like fingerprints in a darker tone all over arms and legs . Any ideas what that could be ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend using a saline nasal spray for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
