What Causes Runny Discharge From The Nose Upon Bending Down?

I have been having watery like liquid dripping from my left nostril, it happens only when I bend down and my head is lower than my chest .. It never happened before in my life but it’s been about a week. Mostly 2 or 3 drops but a couple of time where a bit more.. I have been looking online and coming up with CSF condition which is scary but I haven’t had any head injuries would there be any other reason for this drip?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms described suggestive of a condition called “CSF rhinorrhea”. It is a condition where CSF leaks through the defect in the skull bone.

In most of the cases, it will settle by itself.

If symptoms persist better to consult a neurosurgeon and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
