Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain a small round lump inside the cheek can be due to obstruction of ducts of minor salivary glands or destruction of the glands due to which there is accumulation of mucous into the adjacent soft tissues leading to swelling known as
Mucocele.This occurs due to
cheek biting or trauma to the inner side of cheek..
In case if there is hard swelling it can be due to small stone formation in the ducts of salivary glands and appears as a hard lump..
In case of trauma to cheek due to biting or any other irritation
injury like a sharp pointed tooth causing cheek trauma can cause over growth of fibrous tissue causing formation of a rubbery lump known as Irritational
Fibroma..
At times there is also formation of non cancerous cysts and tumors and in few rare conditions it can be cancerous but incidences are less..
I would suggest you to consult an oral pathologist and get evaluated..
In case of mucocele, salivary stones and Fibroma surgical excision can be done by an oral surgeon..
The other lesions can be tested for their fatalness by taking a
biopsy and treated accordingly..
Hope your query is solved..
